In an effort to improve public access to information and increase transparency, the department is now using a new system to record and stream Planning Commission hearings LIVE. The goal is to provide the public with an alternative way of viewing hearings without having to physically be at the meeting. As with all new technology there may be a few technical challenges as we go-live. If there are technical issues during the live broadcast, the Planning Commission hearing will proceed as usual and the department will work to get the recording up online as soon as possible. If such technical issues result in the inability to record on video, an alternative medium may be used. If problems are encountered, viewers are encouraged to check with their internet provider to ensure adequate bandwidth is available for service on personal computers when viewing the hearing.
