The Equine Policy and Ordinance Development project (POD 11-011) is to update the County of San Diego’s Zoning Ordinance, Departmental Policies and Departmental Forms with regard to commercial equine uses.  The update was directed by County Board of Supervisors action in July 2011 to develop a tiered permitting approach for the commercial Horse Stable use type in areas where a Major Use Permit is currently required by the Zoning Ordinance.
