We are pleased to announce that the California Department of Housing and Community Development has found the County's Housing Element Update in compliance with state law. The Housing Element Update was adopted by the Board of Supervisors on April 24, 2013. With minor exceptions, changes were limited to the Background Report which has been updated with recent demographic data and analyses and which addresses the County’s ability to meet the State’s new Regional Housing Needs Assessment goals through the County’s Sites Inventory.
