Parks Department Fees for Dwelling Permits

At issuance of a building permit for a dwelling the Park Lands Dedication Ordinance requires collection of a fee (typically referred to as "Park fees") unless previously paid.  When an application for a dwelling is submitted, the Building Division Land Use Technician will verify if the fees have previously been paid and notify the applicant if the fees will be due at permit issuance.

Please note that Park fees are collected on behalf of the County Parks and Recreation Department for permits issued only in the unincorporated areas.  For more information on Park fees, please e-mail the Parks and Recreation Department at askparks.lueg@sdcounty.ca.gov.

To determine which Local Park Planning Area your property is in you'll need your parcel's Assessor Parcel Number (APN).  The APN is shown on your tax bill; it is a ten digit number in the following format: 123-456-78-90.

The first three digits indicate the Assessor book number: 123

The second group of digits indicates the Assessor book's page number.  Typically page numbers are given as 01, 02, 03, etc., unless there are more than 99 pages in a book.
