Existing General Plan
Proposed General Plan - Proposed General Plan Circulation Element

Proposed general plan maps are working copies and subject to change. The latest version of the proposed land use maps are available under our Planning Commission Hearing Pages.

Map Descriptions

Existing General Plan Map: The existing general plan map depicts the land uses and maximum allowable intensity/density of planned land uses under the currently adopted general plan.

Proposed General Plan Map: The proposed general plan map shows the General Plan Update's proposed distribution of land uses in the unincorporated County and the maximum allowable intensity/density of planned land uses.

Proposed General Plan Circulation Element Road Network Map: The Circulation Element (CE) Road Network map identifies the General Plan Update's proposed classifications on County roads and State highways. State freeways are also part of the CE road network map. In addition to traffic volumes, the proposed network addresses the relationship between the road network and its surrounding land use patterns.

NOTE: Please note that the proposed general plan and road network maps are PDFs and require Adobe Reader to view. Additionally, maps vary from 1 MB to 6 MB in size and may require some time to fully download.

Alternative Formats (Land use maps only)

General Plan Update maps are also available through SANGIS, a joint powers agency of the City and County of San Diego, responsible for maintenance of access to regional geographic databases. Please visit the SANGIS Map Library
