READ BEFORE COMPLETING INTEREST CARD FORM

SDCFA accepts online interest cards on a continuous basis. SDCFA has multiple volunteer positions; however, its greatest need is for volunteer firefighters. As a result, SDCFA routinely holds selection cycles for the Volunteer Firefighter position (see Selection Cycles table above), and infrequently for the others.

Those interested in the volunteer firefighter position must currently meet all specified requirements; or be able to meet the requirements by the applicable SDCFA Orientation date. If your primary interest is the firefighter position, and you will be unable to meet the requirements by the orientation, you should NOT complete the interest card form at this time. Instead, you are encouraged to continue working toward fulfilling the requirements. When you are close (within three to four months) to meeting the firefighter requirements, please return and submit an interest card.

Please note that all SDCFA notifications will be sent through EMAIL. You will need to monitor the email account you provide below on a regular basis for any communication related to the status of your interest inquiry. It is your responsibility to ensure the email address provided is accurate and allows emails from sdcounty.ca.gov AND firemanager.net.
