COUNTY OF SAN DIEGO CONSORTIUM

2008-09 ANNUAL FUNDING PLAN
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG), HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS (HOME), EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT (ESG), AND HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS (HOPWA) PROGRAMS

Notice is hereby given that the San Diego County Board of Supervisors will give final consideration to the County Consortium 2008-09 Annual Funding Plan on May 6, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in Room 310 of the County Administration Center, 1600 Pacific Highway, San Diego, California. The 2008-09 Annual Funding Plan contains proposed uses for $4,637,376 in CDBG funds, $3,838,789 in HOME funds plus $29,446 in HOME American Dream Downpayment Initiative funds, $207,599 in ESG funds, and $2,646,000 in HOPWA funds, which the County will receive from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for 2008-09. The County estimates the receipt of an additional $944,750 from CDBG and HOME Program revenues. The Annual Funding Plan includes proposals for CDBG funding within the San Diego Urban County, which includes the unincorporated area and cities of Coronado, Del Mar, Imperial Beach, Lemon Grove, Poway, and Solana Beach. The Plan also includes the proposed use of: HOME funds for affordable housing activities within the County HOME Consortium (the HOME Consortium includes the San Diego Urban County plus the cities of Carlsbad, Encinitas, La Mesa, San Marcos, Santee, and Vista.); ESG funds for homeless assistance; and HOPWA funds for housing/services for persons with HIV/AIDS and their families throughout San Diego County.
