Vote by Mail





All registered voters may choose to vote by mail via an mail ballot. A mail ballot can be requested as early as 60 days prior to the June 3, 2008 election day. Mail ballots will be mailed beginning 29 days before Election Day. However, a request for a mail ballot must be received by the Office of the Registrar of Voters (RoV) no later than 5 pm on May 27, 2008 (7 days before the election).

Mail Ballots can be obtained 3 ways:

Option 1 - Download the application form, complete, sign and return it to the RoV.

Option 2 - Prepare written request to include voter's name, residence address, name and date of election for which absentee ballot is being requested, the address where the ballot will be mailed, and the voter's signature. This request can be mailed, faxed or hand delivered to the RoV.

Option 3 - An application form will also be on the back cover of each sample ballot pamphlet. The mailing of these pamphlets to all registered voters will begin during the first week of May, 2008. Tear off the card and complete, sign and return to the RoV. ROV.

Remember the sooner you submit your request the sooner you will receive your mail ballot. All voted mail ballots must be returned to the RoV before 8 pm on Election Day. You may also drop off your mail ballot at any polling location on Election Day.

May 23, 2008 - Mail ballot scanning process begins

Request due to RoV by 5 pm.

May 31 & June 1, 2008 - Weekend voting at RoV
RoV office open 8am thru 5 pm Saturday and Sunday

June 3, 2008 - Election Day
Registrar of Voters Office is open for voting 7 a.m. through 8 p.m.
