All registered voters may choose to vote by mail via an
mail ballot. A mail ballot can be requested as early as 60
days prior to the May 19, 2009 election day. Mail ballots
will be mailed beginning 29 days before Election Day. However,
a request for a mail ballot must be received by the Office
of the Registrar of Voters (RoV)
no later than 5 pm on May 12, 2009 (7
days before the election).
Mail Ballots can be obtained 3 ways:
Option 1- Download the application form, complete, sign and return it to the RoV.

Option 2- Prepare written request to include voter's name, residence address, name and date of election for which absentee ballot is being requested, the address where the ballot will be mailed, and the voter's signature. This request can be mailed, faxed or hand delivered to the RoV.
Option 3- An
application form will also be on the back cover of each sample
ballot pamphlet. The mailing of these pamphlets to all registered
voters will begin April 9, 2009.
Tear off the card and complete, sign and return to the RoV.

Remember the sooner you submit your request the sooner you will receive your mail ballot. All voted mail ballots must be returned to the RoV before 8 pm on Election Day. You may also drop off your mail ballot at any polling location on Election Day.
